Jeff Wyatt played baseball at Union from 1998-2002, helping Union to a pair of TranSouth Conference regular season and tournament titles in both 2000 and 2002. 

Wyatt’s senior year was remarkable, earning numerous honors including NAIA All-American, all-region, region player of the year, TranSouth Player of the Year, and TranSouth All-Conference. His stats that year including 89 hits, 15 home runs, 78 RBI, 161 total bases, and 64 games played. He made 20 relief appearances on the mound. 

Wyatt also added a TranSouth All-Conference honor as a freshman and second team all-conference as a junior.

Over 20 years after his career ended, Wyatt’s name is still firmly planted in the Union Baseball Record Book. Wyatt holds the record for hits in a season (89), hits in a career (316), home runs in game (3), doubles in a season (26), RBI in a career (249), games played in a season (64), games played in a career (232), and total bases in a career (556). 

Wyatt ranks third in career batting average (.387), third (17) and fourth (15) for home runs in a season, second for home runs in a career (46), second for doubles in a career (68), third for RBI in a season (78) in both 1999 and 2002, third for at-bats in a season (224), second (162) and third (161) for total bases in a season, and fourth in relief appearances in a season (20). 

Wyatt played baseball at South Side High School in Jackson where he was earned numerous awards and won three district titles. He is now coaching at South Side. He is a member of the Jackson-Madidson County Sports Hall of Fame. He and his wife, Farrah, have a daughter, Anna Marie, and son, Ace.
