About Chi Alpha Sigma
Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society is a student-athlete honor society for the recognition of high academic achievers and sport participants at the collegiate level. Invitation of student-athletes to membership shall be dependent upon the fulfillment of the following criteria without regard to sport or gender.
The student-athlete:Â
1. Must attend a four-year college or university.
2. Must have participated in a varsity intercollegiate sport sponsored by the institution’s athletics department and be in good standing within their athletics program.Â
3. Must have achieved at least junior academic standing after the fourth full-time semester or seventh quarter as determined by the certifying institution.Â
4. Must have achieved a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.50 (on a 4.0 scale) or equivalent grade point average by the time of the selection process.
5. Must have endorsement from the head coach of his/her sport(s).
6. Grade point average must be certified by the person(s) with authority to review and certify the accuracy of the information before induction.Â
7. Must be recommended by the college or university chapter advisor.
