JACKSON, Tenn. - The 2020
Don Morris Invitational hosted by the Union University golf programs at the
Humboldt Golf and Country Club, Monday and Tuesday, October 19-20. For the first time in the tournament's history, the location will be the Humboldt Golf and Country Club, after being hosted for the first seven years at the Jackson Country Club.
This event features seven men's teams, and five women's teams. All golfers will play 18 holes in the first round Monday, tee times begin at 9 a.m. The final round is Tuesday, shotgun start at 10:00 a.m.
This event is named for former Union golf coach
Don Morris. Morris coached for 33 years at Union. During his time, the Union Golf Team won the Tennessee Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship eight times; TranSouth Conference in 2006, NAIA District 24 championship three times, and the Tennessee Intercollegiate Tournament eight times. Mr. Morris also coached the Bulldog Golf Team to twelve NAIA Tournament appearances from 1979 to 2006. He has remained involved in the golf program to this day serving in volunteer roles.
