BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Union University men's and women's basketball teams placed 11 players on the 2018-19 Gulf South Conference Winter Academic Honor Roll. To be named to the GSC Honor Roll, student-athletes must have a 3.0 GPA cumulative for their academic careers. 

Jada Smith was named to the GSC All-Academic Team for women's basketball team. To be named to the GSC All-Academic Team, student-athletes must have a 3.2 GPA.

The players including are JC Clausi, Samory Gueye, Tylandrius Parks, Levi Shaw, Avree Carpenter, Kennedy Childers, Miracle Gray, McKenna Montgomery, Elli Pratt, Tiffany Rechis, and Smith.
