In the first game of the series, each team plated a single run in the third inning. After the Blazers scored four runs in the top of the fourth Union took the lead in the bottom of the frame 6-5. The Bulldogs got back-to-back runs off Valdosta State errors. A pair of sacrifice flies from Caleb Warnimont and Zach Wylie put Union ahead. The Blazers reclaimed a lead in the fifth 9-6. The Bulldogs scored one in the ninth for the 9-7 final.
