CSC names three Union baseball players, Ross, Davis, and Daniel, Academic All-District

JACKSON, Tenn. - The College Sports Communicators (CSC) released its 2026 Baseball Academic All-District Teams with Union University getting three players on the list. Grant Ross, Carter Daniel, and Caleb Davis where each honored. 

The 2026 Academic All-District® Baseball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes softball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Ross, a 6-foot-2 senior from Collierville, Tennessee, was third on the team with a .328 average. He also added 42 runs, 59 hits, 17 doubles, seven home runs, and 46 RBI, all of which were team highs. He was named to the GSC Gold Glove Team in 2026. 

Davis, a 5-foot-9 senior from Loretto, Tennessee, hit .284 and led the team with two triples. He added two doubles, 19 RBI, and four stolen bases. He boasted a .406 on-base percentage. 

Daniel, a 6-foot-2 sophomore right hander from Killen, Alabama, appeared in 16 games with 11 starts with one win and one save. He was second on the team with 59 innings and third with 57 strikeouts.
