JACKSON, Tenn- On Sept. 27, the Union University volleyball team fought hard in fast-paced match against the Valdosta State University, ultimately losing 3-0 (22-25, 18-25, 19-25). Union's overall record is now 2-8 (0-3 GSC), while VSU's overall record is 2-9 (1-1 GSC).

In the first set, Union kept up with the Lady Blazers keeping the score close, even pulling ahead at some points. However, VSU won the race to 25 points. In the second set, Union tried to keep up with VSU but lost 25-18. The Lady Blazer took the final set with a score of 25-19.

Elizabeth Gilbert once again led the Lady Bulldogs in kills with 10, followed by Carleigh Charles (7), and Natalie Supine (4). Ashley Pruitt created the most opportunities, claiming 15 assists followed by Kylie Creech with 11. Marie Torosian topped the digs at 12.

Up next, the Lady Bulldogs take a trip to Memphis for a match against travel partners Christian Brothers University (9/30).
