JACKSON, Tenn. - The Union University men's cross country team earned a third place finish at the Rhodes College Invitational Saturday morning. The 8K event took place at Shelby Farms in Memphis, Tennessee and featured 13 teams with 122 runners.Â
For the second straight week, Union's
Aaron Fynaardt posted a runner-up finish individually with a time of 25:01. The time was the seventh best 8K time in program history. He was eight seconds back of first place Keeny Guy of the University of Memphis.Â
Union's team posted 130 points for third place. Arkansas State won first with 39 points and Memphis was second with 62 points. Union finished ahead of GSC foes Mississippi College (4th), and Christian Brothers (7th).Â

Up next for Union will be the Chili Pepper Festival hosted by the University of Arkansas, October 4th in Fayetteville, Arkansas at Agri Park.Â
