LAKELAND, Fla. - The Union University men's cross country team posted a ninth place finish at the 2025 NCAA D2 South Region Championship. The 10K event took place at Holloway Park in Lakeland, featuring 18 teams and 126 runners. 

Union's Aaron Fynnardt posted a 22nd place finish with a time of 32.41. By finishing in the top-30, Fynnardt earned All-South Region honors. 

The team posted a time of 2:52:17 for the ninth place finish. This tied the best region finish for the men since rejoining the NCAA in 2012-13. Union also finish ninth in the NCAA South Region Meets in 2019 and 2015. Union was the fifth best GSC team in the final region totals, which is exactly where they finished in the GSC meet. Lee took first place, with Florida Southern finishing second and Embry-Riddle third. The top three teams advance to the nationals.

Noah Jinks finished 55th, Benjamin Blackwood 64th, Luke Winkleman 73rd, Stewart Brown 76th, JosephHamilton 80th, and Clark French 93.
