CLINTON, Miss. - The Union University men's cross country team posted a third-place finish at the 2025 Watson Collegiate Cross Country Classic hosted by Mississippi College. The 8K event took place at the Choctaw Trails and featured 24 teams and 214 runners.Â
The 2:09:22 time for Union set a program record, beating the old time of 2:09:40 set back in 2018.Â
Union's
Aaron Fynaardt also took control of another top-10 spot with a runner-up finish and a time of 24:31. That time was the second-best in program history, just 21 seconds behind the top time. Fynaardt now holds four (2nd, 3rd, 8th, and 10th) of the top-10 spots in Union's individual records.Â
Fynaardt led Union with a second-place finish.
Benjamin Blackwood finished 18th with a time of 25:54. His time was just outside the top-25 in Union's record book.
Stewart Brown placed 25th,
Luke Winkleman 40th, and
Joseph Hamilton 41st to round out Union's top five runners.Â
Noah Jinks finished 50th,
Clark French 83th,
Kaden Moseley 91st,
Jonathan Litscher 111th,
Reed Steiner 137th, and
Adian Hurst-Vasquez 152nd.

2025 Gulf South Conference Men's Cross Country Championship, October 25 at 8:45 a.m. at Shelby Farms in Memphis, Tennessee.
