BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Gulf South Conference has announced that Union University's
Luke Williamson has been named the GSC Baseball Pitcher of the Week for the week ending May 1, 2022. This is Williamson's first GSC weekly honor and fourth for Union this season. Williamson was also named NCBWAÂ South Region Pitcher of the Week
Williamson, a 6-foot-3 senior from Canal Winchester, Ohio, got the first win of the series at Mississippi College, helping Union go on to win the series. Williams tossed 8.1 innings, getting 10 strikeouts with one run and five hits. Williamson has won each of his last three starts, pushing his record to 5-3 on the season.Â
