MOBILE, Ala. – The Union University softball team split in a non-conference double header against Spring Hill College Wednesday afternoon. Union won the first game 4-2 and lost the second 3-5. Union moved to 15-27 overall on the year, and Spring Hill moved to 23-14 overall.
In the first game, seven out of the nine Bulldog's in the lineup recorded a hit.
Grace White led the team going 1-3 with two RBI.
Reese Taylor started in the circle for Union throwing a complete game. She threw seven innings earning three strikeouts. She allowed two runs on two hits and two walks.
In the second game, the team was led by
Bryleigh Carneal who went 3-4.
Olivia Baker started in the circle throwing four innings earning five strikeouts. She allowed five runs on five hits and one freebie.
Kira Finkley threw in relief throwing two innings earning one strikeout.
Up next for Union is the final regular season series. The team will travel down to Clinton, Miss. To take on the Choctaws of Mississippi College. The first game of the series is set to take place Saturday, April 30 at 2:00 p.m.
