Before Union
Taylor transfers to Union from McLennan Community College where she played two years of softball. During her final season at MCC she recorded a 15-2 record in the circle striking out 90 batters, she also hit for .357. Her accolades include 2nd team all-conference selection, and she was awarded Pitcher of the Year for the McLennan Softball Team. 

Taylor prepped at Woden High where she was a multi-sport athlete playing four years of both softball and basketball. During her time at Woden she helped lead her team to 3 state tournament appearances and an area championship. Her accolades include: four-time all-district selection, Newcomer of the year (basketball), three-time all region selection (basketball), 1st team all state (basketball), Co-offensive player of the year, two-time district MVP, two time 1st team all state selection. Her senior year at Woden she sported a .583 batting average with 7 HR and 35 RBI's. Going along with that she recorded a 8-1 record in the circle earning a 1.02 ERA. Off the field she was a member of the BETA club, FFA, BETA club speaking national competitor, and an honor role student.
