ROBINSONVILLE, Miss. - The Union University men's golf team posted a sixth-place finish at the Tunica Cup hosted by Union and Christian Brothers University. The two-round event was played at the Tunica National Golf and Tennis Club and featured eight teams 41 golfers.Â
Union shot 299 in the first round and 313 in the second round for a 612. Harding won the event in a playoff over Christian Brothers with scores of 584. Missiouri St. Louis finished third, Wisconsin-Parkside fourth, Mississippi College fifth, LeMoyne Owen seventh, and Delta State did not finish.Â
JJ Zimmer posted a top-10 with a T9 finish (71, 75-146). Christian Brothers' Caleb Bopp won the event with a 68, 74-142.Â
Timothy Pinkston finished T18 (70, 81-151),
Gray Campbell finished T24 (76, 78-154),
Trey Tidwell finished 33rd (81, 79-161), and
Anders Rider finished 41st (0, 86-86).Â
Logan Montgomery played as an individual and finished T26 (78, 77-155).Â
