Men's golf has not played since their fall opening tournament September 12-13 at Montevallo. The Bulldogs finished third in that event. Union JJ Zimmer recorded a hole-in-one in the event. Zimmer (4th) and Timothy Pinkston (9th) recorded top-10 finishes. 

This week, Union heads to Hot Springs, Arkansas to play in the Battle of the Belt hosted by Henderson State University. Union last played this event in 2019 and earned a fifth place finish. Union's Jordan Botwinick earned medalist honors. 

Union is coming of a week with only one match, but it was a big one. Union defeated Mississippi College 3-1 Saturday afternoon and took over sole possession of first place. MC was coming off an upset win over then No. 12 West Florida. Union remained as the GSC's only unbeaten team in GSC play. 

Union has won eight straight matches, the lost winning streak since joining the NCAA and GSC in 2012. It is the longest streak since Union volleyball won 10 straight back in 2010, while still members of the NAIA. The program record for consecutive wins is 22 back in 1999. The 6-0 GSC start is the best start for Union volleyball since joining the league in 2012.

Union is 13-4 overall and 6-0 in the GSC. 

Union is coming off an 0-2 weekend, with two more one-goal losses. Union fell 1-0 at Alabama Huntsville and then 2-1 at West Alabama. Claire Maxon scored the team's goal this week while Sylvania Kempka added the assist. All six of Union's GSC losses have been by one goal. 

This week, Union is back home to face Valdosta State Friday at 5 p.m. and West Georgia Saturday at 1 p.m.

Union is 3-8 overall and 2-6 in the GSC.

Men's soccer is off this week and will play again Monday, October 10 at 3 p.m. versus Missouri S&T at home.
