JACKSON, Tenn. – Union University women's soccer goalkeeper Rylee Iorio has been named both Gulf South Conference Defender of the Week, and TSWA women's soccer Player of the Week for the week ending October 9th. This is the teams first GSC and TSWA weekly award this season as well as Iorio's first career weekly awards.
 
Iorio a 5-6 senior from Columbia, Ill, helped the Lady Bulldog's to a 1-0-1 week. She logged two consecutive clean sheets this week where she faced 40 shots and compiled 19 total saves. Early in the week she recorded eight saves in the 1-0 victory over Valdosta State. Her highlight performance came from the 0-0 draw over West Georgia where she had 11 saves.
 
Up next for Union is a conference matchup on the road as they travel down to Cleveland, Mississippi to take on Delta State. The match is set to take place Friday, October 14 at 1:00 p.m.
