JACKSON, Tenn.- Union University Women's Soccer faced off against Lee University. Last year, Union earned its first win over Lee since joining the NCAA. Following the loss, Union's record sits at 4-6-3 (3-6-1 GSC) and Lee rises to 10-2-3 (8-2-1 GSC)
Dehlia Placie showed a strong defensive presence in the first half. Making three big saves to keep Union in play. However, she did concede twice, once in the 27
th minute and once in the 36
th minute. Â Placie collected 4 saves in her 45 minutes on the field.
Antia Lopez Rodriguez made her return to goal in the second half, allowing two goals herself and collecting 5Â saves.
Lucia Revuelto was able to put a point on the board for Union in the form of a penalty kick in the 79
th minute. She blasted the ball into the lower left corner.
Revuelto led in shots on goal (2) followed by
Lucia Garcia at 1.
Union will look to bounce back against Trevecca this Sunday (11/2) in Nashville. Union was outshot 7-22.
