Before Union
Placie played four years of both soccer and softball at Kennesaw Mountain High School and for 11 years with the Southern Soccer Academy. On the pitch, she was named to the All-Region Team three times and was twice named Defensive Player of the Year. As a senior, Placie captained her team, was named MVP, and played in the All-State All-Star Game. Placie made over 350 saves in her high school career and held a 0.6 GAA for the 2023-2024 club season.

On the diamond, Placie was named to the All-Region Team twice and was team captain and MVP her senior season, in which she was also named to the All-State Team.

Off the fields, Placie was named a Scholar Athlete each year in both sports and won several team GPA awards. She was a member of the National Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society and was the Magnet Class President. Placie is a member of the Kennesaw Mountain High School Hall of Fame.
