MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Union University women's cross country team opened the 2019 season with a seventh place finish at the Rhodes College Invitational at Shelby Farms. The even featured 21 teams and 182 individual finishers.Â
Union was seventh in a team time of 1:54:41. Tulsa won the event with a time of 1:47:51. Cincinnati was second, Memphis third, Arkansas State fourth, Centre fifth, Emory sixth, Mississippi College eighth, Rhodes ninth, and Kentucky Wesleyan 10th. Fellow GSC foe Christian Brothers finished 12th.Â
Freshman
Chloe Veilleux was Union's top individual in 28th place with a time of 22:28. Tulsa's Caitlin Klopfer won the event with a time of 21:63.Â
