LAKELAND, Fla. - The Union University women's cross country team posted a 13th place finish at the 2025 NCAA D2 South Region Championship. The 6K event took place at Holloway Park in Lakeland and featured 20 teams with 132 runners. 

Union's Addi Aguayo finished third in the region race with a time of 21:31. And because she finished in the top-30, she was also named to the All-South Region team. Aguayo is expected to be among the individual qualifiers to the NCAA D2 National Championship Meet tha twill be release early next week. The 21:31 time was third best in Union 6K history, giving Aguayo each of the top-3 6K times in program history. 

Union's team time was 2:03:21, good for 13th place. Union was the eighth best GSC team in the field Saturday. Palm Beach Atlantic won with a time of 1:50:39. Lee finished second, while Tampa finished third. The top three teams advance to the national meet. 

Ayla Young finished 63rd, Ryan Harter 104th, Victoria Markham 110th, Sophie Crisler 113th, Heidi Munday 114th, and Clara Zinn 129th. 

The NCAA D2 Cross Country National Meet is set for November 22 in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
