CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Union University women's cross country team posted an 18th place finish at the Queens University Royal Challenge. The 5K event featured 63 teams and 541 runners.Â
Union was 18th with 505 points and a time of 1:35:37. Conference foe Lee University won the event with 90 points and a time of 1:29:26. Furman was second, Malone third, Davidson fourth, Cedarville fifth, Wofford sixth, Queens seventh, SCAD Atlanta eighth, Radford ninth, and Wingate 10th. South Region foes Florida Southern was 15th, Saint Leo 19th, and Lynn 33rd. GSC foe Auburn-Montgomery finished 41st.Â
Chloe Veilleuz was Union's top runner in 44th place with a time of 18:34. Wofford's Hanna Steelman won the event with a time of 16:48.Â
