JACKSON, Tenn.- The Union University baseball team lost to UT Martin 7-1 in a midweek game to fall to 4-23 on the season. The Skyhawks improved to 6-16 with the win.

Nico Zych had an RBI triple in the top of the first then scored on a balk in the next at bat. In the top of the second Matt Hirsch was pushed home on a sacrifice fly from Drew Erie. Then in the third, Taylor Douglas scored after drawing a lead off walk to give the UT Martin the 4-0 lead after three.

Union scored their only run in the bottom half of the fifth on a squeeze bunt from freshman Austin Orr that scored Ty Warnimont from third.

The Skyhawks added three more runs in the sixth inning on three singles and one Union error to set the final at 7-1.
