Box Score 2 BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Union University softball team earned a double-header sweep Monday afternoon at Miles (Ala. ) College. Union won 8-0 and 6-2 to improve to 7-4 on the season. Miles dropped to 0-8 overall.
Kelly Robey earned both wins on the day, tossing a no-hitter in the first game. She tossed all five innings of the run-ruled game, striking out eight batters and walking just one.
Reagan Schrader led with three hits while seven other Lady Bulldogs posted one hit each.
Alex Williams and
Erin Picard led with two RBI each, and Picard hit the game's only home run.
In the second game, Robey (6-2) tossed six innings of relief, allowing four hits and no runs while striking out 10 batters.
Sarah Kreuter led with two hits, while six other Lady Bulldogs players recorded one hit each.
Whitney Christian led with two RBI in the game.
Up next for Union will be four games in the Union University Softball Invitational Friday and Saturday, February 21-22 at Fesmire Field.
