TUNICA, Miss. – The Union University women's golf team posted a fourth place finish at the Gulf South Conference Golf Championships. Union finished fourth of five teams to close out the program's inaugural season.
 
Union fired a two-round total of 714 (359, 355). They were behind West Florida (615), Shorter (Ga.) (646), and West Georgia (658). Christian Brothers was fifth (847).
 
Union freshman Lindsay McRee was the top Union player in 13^th place with a score of 169 (83, 86). West Florida's Camila Sevillano won the event with a 146 (71, 75).
 
Union's Katie Smith finished 14^th (173-85, 88), Ann Elizabeth Lynch finished T18 (184-95, 89), Kara Glover finished 21^st (188-96, 92), and Rachel Clardy finished 22^nd (214-112, 102).
 
Union played in nine events in this, the program's first year of competition. Union captured their first tournament championship at the Christian Brothers Invitational. Union had one runner-up finish, three third place finishes, and two fourth place finishes.
