NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Union University baseball team lost 8-3 at Trevecca Nazarene University Tuesday afternoon. Union dropped to 9-32 on the season, while Trevecca improved to 25-17 overall.
Union scored first with an unearned run in the top of the first.
Wacey Russell scored after he led off the game with a double. Trevecca tied the game in the bottom of the second.
The score remained 1-1 until the bottom of the fifth. Trevecca scored three times, then twice each in the sixth and seventh innings to go up 8-1. Union mounted a small rally in the eighth with a pair of runs.
Cole McAdams drove in two runs with a triple. Russell led the way for Union with three of the team's six hits.
John Reed (1-4) took the loss for Union, going five innings allowing four runs on eight hits.

Will Embry tossed the final three innings combined in relief. Webb (2-1) for Trevecca earned the win, tossing 1.0 inning of relief work, allowing no runs and no hits. No pitcher for Trevecca tossed more than two innings.
Up next for Union will be the final regular season games of the year, a come conference series versus Christian Brothers April 27-28.
