JACKSON, Tenn.- The Lady Bulldogs put up a fight in their third GSC road match against AUM. The final whistle blew in favor of the Lady Warhawks, taking the 3-2 win. This match drops Union's record to 2-10 (0-5 GSC) and AUM's record to 2-11 (1-4 GSC).
This was the most competitive match Union has participated in this season as it was the first to be taken to the fifth set.
Freshman game leader
Parker Goff collected 11 kills on the match, a new career high.
Natalie Supine and
Carleigh Charles trail right behind her with 9 points a piece, making Supine's new season high. Goff also collected 4 blocks, another career high.
Sydney Davis and
Kylie Creech paced the Bulldogs' offense with 18 and 17 assists, respectively.
Davis added a team-best four aces, setting new career highs in both categories.
The squad will return home to the Fred Delay Gymnasium for a Tuesday night matchup (10/7) against Trevecca Nazarene. Come out to support, admission is free thanks to the generosity of FirstBank.
