Lady Bulldogs come up short against Chargers

JACKSON, Tenn.- Union Women's Volleyball finished their road trip with a match against the University of Alabama Hunstville. Following the 0-3 lose, Lady Bulldog record is 2-13 (0-8 GSC) and Lady Chargers rises to 14-4 (6-3 GSC).

UAH took the lead early in the first set and did not fall to Union the entire set. First set score ended at 25-15.

The second set saw much more Lady Bulldog action. Kills offered by Parker Goff and Marie Torosian were instrumental in the team's success. Union took the lead at 13-12 following a kill from Goff. They would keep the lead until the score was 24-21. UAH came back and was able to take the set 26-24.

The final set was similar to the first however Union had more control early on. Points from Ajahnaea Williams helped give Lady Bulldog momentum. However, UAH was able to go on another run, scoring 8 points in a row. The set ended at 25-19 in favor of the Lady Chargers.

Union was led in kills by Goff (9), Elizabeth Gilbert (8), and Torosian (6). Gilbert also earned two aces, two blocks, four assists, and 12 digs. Kylie Creech collected the most assists with 15.

Union goes on the road once again for a Tuesday night match against Lee University (10/14) before returning to the Fred DeLay Gymnasium next weekend for matches against West Alabama (10/17) and Mississippi College (10/18).
