JACKSON, Tenn.—On Sep. 2
nd, the Union men's soccer team tied with Harding University 3-3.
The Bulldogs got the scoring started in the 20
th minute when
Christian Harjanne kicked a goal, assisted by
Ostian Bowen.
Chris Grill scored the second Union goal of the night in the 39
th minute. He was assisted by
Hunter Santoscoy. The third Union goal came courtesy of
Tucker Cowles in the 47
th minute to make the score 3-0.
In the 50
th minute, the Bison began their comeback as Stefano Silva kicked a goal, assisted by Camilo Porto. Georgios Petousis scored in the 70
th minute. Porto got the assist and then kicked the final goal of the game in the 73
rd minute with an assist by Silva.
The Bulldogs and the Bison had 18 shots a piece. Each team also had 11 shots on goal and eight saves. Union led 5-3 in corner kicks and 13-9 in fouls.
Ashanie Kennedy and Harjanne accounted for six of Union's shots with three each, the most of any Bulldog in the match. Harjanne, Bowen, and Cowles all had two shots on goal, and
Tommy Scahill played the entire game in goal, recording eight saves.
Up next, the Bulldogs have a road matchup against Trevecca Nazarene University on Sep. 6 at 7:00 p.m.
