Before Union
Bowen prepped at Johannes Gymnasium Lahnstein School. He  played soccer for Tus Koblenz (youth) U16-U19 in the second highest division. He also played soccer for FC Karbach Oberliga, the fifth highest division. He led his team to the 2020 U19 Rheinland Cup Championship and qualified for the U19 DFB-Pokal.
