JACKSON, Tenn. – The Union University men's soccer team finished nil-nil against Spring Hill College Saturday afternoon at the Smith Memorial Soccer Complex. With this tie, Union moved to 3-6-1 overall on the season and 1-4-1 in the Gulf South Conference. Spring Hill moved to 3-2-3 overall and 1-0-3 in league play.
Shots were even between the two squads 17-17, Spring hill led with 10-6 shots on goal. The Bulldogs led in corners 10-8 and Spring Hill led in fouls 10-5.
Ostian Bowen led Union with six shots, and three other Bulldogs recorded multiple shots in the match. Goalkeeper
Botond Nemeth recorded 90:00 in net and notched 10 saves.
Up next for Union is a conference matchup on the road as they head down to Huntsville, Ala. to take on the chargers of UAH. This match is set to take place Friday, September 30 at 7:30 p.m.
