Searcy, Ark. – The Union University baseball team lost to Harding University in a nonconference midweek game Tuesday night. The final score of the game was 10-6. Union fell to 17-21 overall and Harding improved to 25-15 on the year.
The Bulldogs trailed most of the game until the sixth inning when
Dorian Berry put the team on top 6-4 after hitting a grand slam. Union gave up the lead in the eighth after giving up four runs.
Union was led by
Grayson Swanson who went 3-5, Berry led the team with 4 RBI.
AJ Zeak started on the mound for Union throwing five innings earning one strikeout. He allowed four runs on six hits and three walks.
Ethan Orwig,
Jake Jewell, Billy Backham,
Jack Rasmussen, and
Ryan Middleton all threw in relief.
Up next for Union is a nonconference matchup on the road against Arkansas Tech University. This game is set to take place Tuesday, April 26 at 3:00 p.m.
