Russellville, Ark. – The Union University baseball team fell to the Wonder Boys of Arkansas Tech Tuesday afternoon. The final score was Union 3, Arkansas Tech 8. Union moved to 17-22 overall on the year, and Arkansas Tech improved to 25-18 overall.
Union jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the top of the third inning with a pair of singles from
Patrick Music and
Dorian Berry. Arkansas tech tied the game in the fourth inning and took the lead in the fifth. They also scored in the fifth and sixth resulting in the final score of 8-3.
Union was led by both
Blake Barrett and Berry. Barrett went 2-3 and Berry 2-4. Six pitchers split time on the mound for the Bulldogs totaling eight innings earning six strikeouts. They allowed eight runs on 11 hits and seven freebies.
Up next for Union is the last series of the year in Clinton, Miss as they take on the Choctaws of Mississippi College. The first game of the series is set to take place Friday, April 29 at 6:00 p.m.
