PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Union University volleyball team lost to No. 8 ranked West Florida 3-0 (19-25, 14-25, 14-25) Saturday afternoon. Union dropped to 16-11 overall and 7-4 in the Gulf South Conference. West Florida improved to 27-1 and 12-0 in conference play.
West Florida led Union in kills (52-26), assists (46-23), and digs (45-38). Union led in service aces where they had four to West Florida's zero.
Alyssa Tatsch led the team in kills with seven,
Emily Grace Calhoon had five, and
Laura Rose Gray added four.
Sydney Sample led the team with two aces and
Jordan Vick and
Bailey Hughes both added one. Calhoon led the team with three blocks and Vick led with 12 assists. Sample led with 10 digs.
Up next for Union is a GSC matchup at home as they take on the Tigers of the University of West Alabama. This match is set to take place Tuesday, November 2nd at 7:00 p.m. Following the Match will be Basketballs Bulldog Madness.
