Before Union
Calhoon prepped at Valley View High School where she played four years of high school volleyball and seven years of club ball. She also played three years of golf and ran track and field for four years in high school. During her time at Valley View, she helped lead her team to four State Championships. She helped lead her club teams to two first-place finishes and one Region Championship. She was named All-State, All-Conference, outstanding offensive player for Valley View Volleyball in 2017, 21 time MaxPreps Player of the Match during her high school career, two time AVCA Phenom Watch List, two time Best Under the Sun selection for high school volleyball, President's Day Classic MVP 2017 for club ball and All-State Track 2018. She finished first in the state with a hitting percentage of .496 and led her team in kills (341) and blocks (99). She was Senior Class President, inducted into the National Honor Society, was the Student Council Reporter, FBLA, was on the Arkansas Activities Association Student Advisory Council and was on the homecoming court junior and senior year.
