Union head coach
Scott Sinclair said, "Our girls are working really hard, and that is the disappointing part with the score line this afternoon. I thought we competed and went toe-to-toe with a really good possession-based Florida Tech team. They simply capitalized on mistakes, and we did not. A definite positive was we played our style against a good Florida Tech team and got pressure on the ball. The negative part is that we gave up the three goals. It gives us some things to work on this week in training and prepare for the next game."
Florida Tech out shot Union 28-6 in the game, including 8-1 in shots on goal.
Addison Dunn,
Holly Trisdale, and Jaya-Naomi Wilson each recorded two shots for Union. Trisdale put one shot on goal.
Anna Venckus recorded five saves in the 90 minutes in net for Union.
Up next for Union is the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 22nd in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
