SEARCY, Ark. - The Union University baseball team suffered a heart-breaking loss at Harding University Tuesday night 5-4. Union dropped to 13-32 overall, while Harding improved to 29-18.
Union trailed 3-0 before tying the game in the eighth inning with three runs. The big blow was a 2-run home run by
Jesse Kelley.
Nolen Milton then gave Union its first lead of the night with an RBI single in the ninth.
Harding, however, spoiled the Union comeback when Fertig's one out, two RBI single drove in a pair of runs to give the home Bisons the win.

That game was another last inning rally for Harding, scoring two runs in the top of the 12th inning. Union scored three runs in the ninth to force extras and scored one run in the 12th of that game, but fell by one run.
Caleb DeMarigny led Union with a 3-for-4 night, reaching base safely for the ninth straight game. The senior also extended his hitting streak to three games.
Josh Frantz and Milton each added two hits, while Kelley led with his two RBI.
Union used four pitchers in the game.
