Before Union
Woods transferred to Union from Jackson State Community College where he played one year of baseball. He signed with Lincoln Memorial University as a freshman and played one season. He helped his team to the South Atlantic Conference title at LMU. Woods prepped at Blackman High School where he played four years of baseball and one season of basketball. He was named all-district three times, including district MVP twice, and district pitcher of the year once.
