CLINTON, Miss. – The Union University women's soccer team fell 2-0 at No. 9 Mississippi College Friday afternoon. Union dropped to 2-5 overall and 1-3 in the Gulf South Conference. Mississippi College improved to 7-1 on the season and 5-0 in league play.
Union held Mississippi College to just two goals, which was the second fewest goals scored in a match this season and fewest goals scored in a match in GSC play for the Choctaws.
MC's first goal came in the 28th minute of play. The 1-0 score stood until a late goal in the final minute of play to set the final at 2-0.
Union was outshot in the match, 37-4, including 22-2 in the first half. MC led 16-2 in shots on goal.

Rylee Iorio recorded her career high 13 saves and was the first time in the early career to play 90 minutes in goal.
Jaya Wilson led Union with two shots.
Up next for Union will be another road GSC match, October 13 at Delta State University at 1 p.m.
