MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Union University baseball team ended the season at Christian Brothers University , taking the series 2-1. The Bulldogs lost game one 5-4 on Saturday afternoon in 13 innings, but won the last two games of the series 7-5 and 6-3. Union ended the season 17-32 and 10-20 in the Gulf South Conference. Christian Brothers ended the season 11-38 and 5-25 in conference. 

Christian Brothers started the first game with a run in the bottom of the second and two more runs in the bottom of the third. Chase Diggs scored Union's first run of the game on a double by David Robins. The next run came on an RBI double from Nolen Milton. Milton then scored the third run of the inning with the help of a CBU error. The Bulldogs took the lead in the top of the ninth on another error, allowing Zane Phillips to score. CBU tied the game in the bottom of the ninth, putting the game into extra innings. The winning run for CBU came in the bottom of the 13th inning. Union was led by Robins, Milton, and Philips with two hits each. JR Miller tossed nine innings, giving up seven hits and four earned runs with six walks and four strikeouts. Brady Cook (0-4) took the loss with three innings pitched, giving up six hits and one earned run with one walk and two strikeouts. 

The Bulldogs started the second game of the series with two runs in the top of the first on a two RBI single by Caleb DeMarigny. Union added another run in the top of the second on a double by Hayden Lewis that brought in Chase Diggs. Christian Brothers tied the game in the bottom of the second, but Union took back the lead in the top of the third. Milton scored off a double by DeMarigny. Then Phillips scored another run on a single by Spencer Schultz. DeMarigny scored the final run of the inning on a fielder's choice. CBU scored a run in the bottom of the third off of a wild pitch, and they scored again in the bottom of the fourth on a double. Union scored their final run of the game in the top of the fifth on of a sacrifice fly from Milton. The Bulldogs were led by Lewis, DeMarigny, and Milton with two hits each. Skyler Harrison pitched 3.2 innings giving up nine hits and five earned runs with one walk and one strikeout. Kory Pollard (2-2) earned the win with 3.1 innings giving up no hits and mo runs with three walks and four strikeouts. 

In the last game of the series, Union won 6-3. The Bucs scored the first run of the game in the bottom of the fifth. Union remained scoreless until the top of the seventh inning. Diggs scored on a double by Milton. Then Phillips had a two RBI double, bringing in Lewis and Milton. DeMarigny and Phillips scored on a triple by Charlie Ellis, bringing the score to 5-1. Union's final run of the game was off a single by Robins, bringing in Lewis. Christian Brothers final two runs came in the bottom of the ninth, making the final score 6-3.  Union was led by Diggs with three hits. Scott Shearer (5-8) took the win with nine innings pitched giving up seven hits and three earned runs with four walks and two strikeouts. 

Union's season ended with the series win at CBU.
