Before Union
Pollard transferred to Union from Lakeland Community College where he played baseball for one year. He had a .319 batting average and helped lead his team to sub-regional runner up. He played at Olney Central College in 2016 where he had a batting  average of .330. Pollard prepped at Bowling Green Senior High School where he played baseball and football for four years. He received multiple honors for baseball and football such as first team all-league, second team all-league, and all-league honorable mention. Off the field, Pollard was in the National Honors Society and DECA Senior Class President.
