JACKSON, Tenn. - The Union University baseball lost 14-2 in seven innings to the University of Arkansas-Monticello Tuesday afternoon at Fesmire Field. Union dropped to 10-20 on the season, while the No. 17 ranked UAM Weevils improved to 21-7. 
The game started with both teams getting a solo home run on a windy day at Fesmire Field. Dodd homered for UAM, while Union's David Robins answered with a no-doubter in the bottom of the frame. However, Arkansas-Monticello took off from there, while Union's offense was silenced.  
The Weevils scored in each of the first five innings of play, including two more runs in the second, four in the third, two in the fourth, and five in the fifth to lead 14-1. Union managed just two hits in the game off UAM starter Wilkerson (2-0). Union got a pair of hits and a from pinch-hitters in the seventh that set up Josh Bozoian scoring Union's second run on a wild pitch. 
Skyler Harrison (2-5) started for Union, going 2.1 innings, allowing seven run on five hits with one strikeout and five walks. Five more Union pitchers tossed in relief with JD Fuzzell tossing the final three innings, allowing no runs with two strikeouts and no hits. 
Union pitchers through 14 walks in the game, while UAM hitters pounded out 10 hits. Six of the 10 hits for UAM were extra bases hits, including three home runs, two from Dodd. 
Robins, Bozoian, Eli Thibado, and Zane Phillips recorded one hit each for Union. 
Up next for the Bulldogs will be a weekend GSC series at Mississippi College, March 30 and 31.
