JACKSON, Tenn. – The Union University volleyball team fell to the University of Alabama in Huntsville 3-0 (25-11, 25-14, 25-22) Friday night. Union dropped to 6-23 overall and 2-10 in the Gulf South Conference. Huntsville improved to 20-9 overall and 8-5 in conference play.
Union jumped ahead of UAH 7-2 in the first set. Alabama Huntsville then went on a 12-0 run to lead 19-7. UAH finished the set, 25-11.
The Lady Bulldogs battled UAH in the first set tying the score at five. Alabama Huntsville expanded their lead after scoring eight straight points. Alabama Huntsville won the second set 25-12.
UAH scored the first five points of the third set. Union was able to battle back and gain the lead 19-18. However, with the set tied at 21-21, Huntsville scored four of the final five points to win the set 25-22.

Christa Karns with eight kills and five blocks and Abbie Rhan with 15 digs.
