ORLANDO, Fla. – The Union University volleyball team posted a 3-0 (25-20, 25-15, 25-23) over Rollins College Saturday evening. Earlier in the day, Eckerd topped Union 3-0 (25-17, 25-17, 25-17). In Friday's match, Spring Hill topped Union 3-0 (25-18, 25-22, 25-17). Union is now 6-22 on the season.
In the win over Rollins, Union dominated the aces category, 8-1. Union led in kills 36-32 and led in digs 43-33.
Meghan Delaney and
Grace Roberts led with eight kills each.
Claressa Kohler led with four aces,
Delaney Peterson and
Kristen Bukowsky led with three blocks each,
Rebecca Sexton led with 18 assists, and
Abbie Rahn led with 17 digs.
In the loss to Eckerd, the Tritons led in kills 46-26, 7-3 in aces, 4-2 in blocks, and 42-35 in digs. Union was led by
Christa Karns with nine kills, Sexton with 14 assists, and Delaney and Rahn with nine digs each.
In Friday's loss to Spring Hill, the Badgers led in kills 44-32 and 7-5 in blocks. Union led 58-54 in digs, while both teams recorded four aces. Union was led by Delaney with nine kills, Bukowsky with four blocks, Kohler with 14 assists, and Ramsey with 15 digs.
Up next for Union will be three straight GSC road matches starting October 26 at Alabama Huntsville.
