FLORENCE, Ala. – The Union University Lady Bulldog volleyball team fell at No. 24 University of North Alabama. Union fell to 1-3 in Gulf South Conference play, and dropped to 4-8 on the regular season. North Alabama is 3-1 against GSC competition, and improved to 11-1 on the season.
UNA dominated all three sets against the Lady Bulldogs. The Lions won 25-10, 25-12, and 25-23. North Alabama out killed Union 46-23, and had eight service aces against the Lady Bulldogs. Union hit for just a .057 attacking percentage compared to UNA's .513 attacking percentage.
Hannah Huguley added 11 assists to her season totals, and
Katie O'Malley led the Lady Bulldogs with eight kills.
Ceciley Blanchard and
Abby Schebel both added five kills each.
Union will travel to the University of Alabama Huntsville to take on the Chargers Saturday, September 24 at 2pm. The Lady Bulldogs will return home for Family Weekend Friday, September 30 as they take on Valdosta State University at 7pm, and the University of West Florida Saturday, October 1 at 1pm.
