Teddy Christie, a 6-foot-4, sophomore from Nashua, N.H., helped Union to a big conference win at Valdosta State. Christie posted a 2-1 win at Valdosta State in his only start of the week. He allowed just one run on a sacrifice fly in his seven inning complete game. At Valdosta, he allow just one run on three hits with six strikeouts for the win. He also tossed one perfect inning of short relief in an early week non-conference game versus DI UT-Martin, with one strikeout. On the week, he tossed 8.0 innings, allowed just one run on three hits with seven strikeouts. Christie is 2-4 on the year with a 3.91 ERA in 10 appearances with nine starts.Â
