Union University junior pitcher Will Embry has been named the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Baseball Pitcher of the Week for the week ending March 30, 2014. This is his first time in receiving this award.

Embry, junior pitcher from Burlison, Tenn., helped Union survive a 7-6 victory in 16 innings over NAIA #20 Freed-Hardeman. Embry tossed nine scoreless inning of relief, the final nine innings of the contest, to allow Union the opportunity for the win. He allowing just two hits with five strikeouts and five walks in his nine innings of work. Embry, a former Brighton High School standout, is 1-1 on the season with a 3.27 ERA.
