Lindsay McRee of Union University has been named the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Women’s Golf Student Athlete of the Week. For McRee, this is her second NCCAA weekly honor this season.
McRee, freshman from Murfreesboro, Tenn., helped Union to the program's first ever tournament championship in this, their inaugural season. McRee's play helped Union captured first place in the Christian Brothers University Spring Classic. McRee finished third overall, earned a spot on the all-tournament team. She shot a two round total of 176 (89, 87). She also helped Union shoot a second round total of 353 as a team, which set a program best for low round.
In five tournament this season, McRee has four top-10 finishes, including three third place finishes.
