NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Union University volleyball team lost 3-0 (20-25, 12-25, 22-25) to Trevecca Nazarene University Friday night in Gulf South Conference play.
Trevecca won the opening two sets 25-20 and 25-12. Union responded with 15 kills in the third set and remained close before falling 25-22.
Carleigh Charles led Union with 12 kills and 10 digs while hitting .290. Parker Goff, Elizabeth Gilbert and Carly Edwards each added five kills.
Kylie Creech recorded 18 assists, while Avery Taylor added 12. Caileigh Collins had 10 digs, and Sarah-Kate Savage finished with nine.
Julia Stuble led Union with three blocks. Charles, Sydney Davis and Creech each recorded one service ace.
The Lady Bulldogs moved to 4-11 overall and 0-4 in the GSC.
Union returns to Gulf South Conference action Saturday, Sept. 26, at 3 p.m. against Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee.
