CLEVELAND, Tenn. – The Union University volleyball team lost 3-0 (19-25, 18-25, 21-25) to Lee University Saturday in Gulf South Conference play.
Lee won the opening two sets 25-19 and 25-18. Union remained close throughout the third set before falling 25-21.
Elizabeth Gilbert led Union with eight kills while hitting .294. Sydney Davis added six kills, while Carly Edwards and Julia Stuible each finished with five.
Kylie Creech recorded 16 assists, while Avery Taylor added 10. Caileigh Collins led Union with 10 digs, and Sarah-Kate Savage finished with eight.
Anna Edwards led Union with four blocks. Carly Edwards and Stuible each added three as the Lady Bulldogs held an 8-6 advantage in blocks.
The Lady Bulldogs moved to 4-12 overall and 0-5 in the GSC.
Union returns home Tuesday, Sept. 29, for a GSC match against Mississippi Christian University at 6 p.m. at Fred DeLay Gymnasium.
