Union drops GSC openers to Christian Brothers University

JACKSON, Tenn- The Bulldogs went on the road today for their first conference game against Buccaneers.

The game was decided by two Buccaneer goals in the first half, the first one coming in the 8th minute from Joe Vokins assisted by Roberto Lagoa. The second goal came from the foot of Olaf Kramer placed into the lower left corner of the goal mouth.

From a bird's eye view of the match, CBU out shot Union 20 to 9 but only 4 of those shots were on frame. Fouls were even, at 9 apiece, however 5 Buccaneers left the match with yellow cards and only 2 Bulldogs received yellow cards.

In between the posts, Patrick Schott collected 90 minutes and recorded two saves.

Next on the Bulldogs schedule, the squad will return to the Smith Memorial Soccer Complex to take on Delta State University (9/26) and Mississippi College (9/28). Fans can look forward to seeing these matches free of charge thanks to the generosity of FirstBank.
